I was in a time crunch for my new car. The credit union and all their third party groups were able to help me get all my paperwork done in one day. I got my car the following day like clockwork and couldn’t be happier driving it around.

Hello, my name is Brian and I am a customer of the FIU Credit Union and a full-time faculty member and /instructor at FIU.  All of us live busy lives and rarely find time to set down write a letter about exceptional service one received from someone but I feel the need to do that.  A couple of years ago my wife and I worked with Maria Eva Gomez-Pinto through the MMC location of the FIU Credit Union to buy a car.  Truthfully buying a car is not always an easy or a fun experience and can be stressful in many ways however, Maria made the process a real pleasure.  She provides excellent customer service, is a patient, understanding, caring person, and helps to work through the application process until the end to try and make it work for the customer.  My wife and I still talk about what a great experience we had working with her.   We have spoken with her since buying that car regarding suggestions of mortgage brokers and a few other various financial questions regarding car loans and she is always more than willing to help and is available.  I know many financial institutions would not give a person this personal type of service but Maria does and we appreciate it.         

My wife and I are considering purchasing a second car soon and as you know a person has many financing options when it comes to buying a car and Maria was on the top of my list of people to work with if we decide to proceed with the FIU Credit Union.  I think it does matter who you work with to make buying a car a good experience.   After we purchased our car with her a few years ago I intended  to send this letter to her supervisor but simply got busy with so many other things that I did not have the opportunity.  Although a bit belated, as Maria's supervisor I thought I would take a moment to tell you what a wonderful employee you have working for you and we are glad to have had the opportunity to work with her.  The people who work for an organization are what make it really work and more importantly whether or not customers return.   Maria is certainly one of those people you have working for you that provide customers with a great experience and are happy they worked with her and the FIU Credit Union.  Even if we do not get another loan or were not approved for a second loan with the FIU Credit Union, I still would have no reservations in sending this letter to you that should have come sooner.  Just letting you know you have a great employee working for you and her customers appreciate what she does for them.  Thank you for your time.

I am extremely happy with my car buying experience with Auto Advisors that I felt it was mandatory to share my experience. The process was easy, they took care of everything!

All I had to do is discuss how much I can afford to pay and give down, pick the car I wanted (make and model) and the color I preferred; they do the rest! They definitely save you time and money. It was a no haggle experience, the only time I visited the dealership was to test drive the cars and compare. They did all the negotiations, they waived the dealer fees, delivered my new car to my work place, had all the paper work ready for me to sign, had my tag and registration transferred and they even called my insurance company to make sure my car was insured AND it doesn’t stop there ~ they also returned my old lease to the dealership.

I definitely recommend them and if you know any family or friends that can benefit from Auto Advisors, please refer. You will be completely satisfied with their service. Guaranteed!

Good afternoon All - - I am a BIG Cheerleader of Auto Advisor as well as their 1st University Credit member purchaser!!! 

It was truly an amazing, stress-free, supportive and pleasant experience.  I did not have to leave my office.  I did my part, got pre-approved and everything was handled by Joe.   I gave him what I wanted and the price I wanted to pay.

My car was delivered here last Thursday, all the paperwork signed and he even referred me to a buyer willing to purchase my old car!!!  Talk about one-stop-shopping!!  Amazingly wonderful; I  highly recommend Auto Advisor!!!!!!

Good afternoon, Mr. Welch.

My name is Maria, a long-time customer of the University Credit Union.  I am contacting you today concerning one of your employees, Mr. Gus Sanchez.

On March 22nd, I experienced a long string of unexplainable failures as I had attempted to log into my account.  More important than the failures themselves, each of which Mr. Sanchez resolved, is how professionally and quickly he resolved them, and the good-natured way in which he did so.  He dedicated to me about 40 uninterrupted minutes of his time as he tested along with me my ability to log in twice.  Additionally, he called me a couple of days later to confirm no further complications -- an rare follow-up courtesy in today's world.

My e-mail is both overdue and necessary. My purpose in writing to you is to make you aware of the special employee that Mr. Sanchez is, and that the excellent service that he provided has reinforced by confidence in my banking institution of choice.  I hope that you will extend to him a special recognition. Each of us should represent our employer that well.

Thank you so much for your help with the car loan!  Your willingness to help and kind attitude made the process quick and easy.  I also wanted to commend Judy Kilburn with American Chariots. I wanted to take this opportunity to mention what a great service the University Credit Union is providing to its banking customers, through the financial expertise of Ms. Isabel Corripio.  Last week, I had a need to explore a home refinance with the credit union and was placed in contact with Ms. Isabel Corripio.  Ms. Corripio made it a point to contact me on the same day that I called to arrange a meeting with me to discuss my home refinance needs.  It was easier for me to meet with her at the office of the Home Financing Center and we met on Wednesday. Throughout our meeting she asked pertinent questions and quickly understood my financial situation. Although, I was meeting with her to discuss the possibility of a home refinance, through her professionalism and expertise, she was able to identify that a better option for me was a home equity loan, and redirected me back to the University Credit Union. She also placed me in contact directly with Mr. Leonard Del Campo from the Kendall branch. He provided me with good advice and I am now working with Ms. Doris Garcia at the University Credit Union, Medical Campus Branch.

It was refreshing to see that Ms. Corripio was evaluating the financial situation and making the most honest and appropriate recommendation by sending me back to the credit union. Other financial institutions that I dealt with last week, seemed to only see the small picture (acquiring a new refinance loan) and not the bigger picture (solving my financial situation, while doing what is best for the customer). I am most appreciative that Ms. Corripio’s  financial advice stemmed from doing what is best for the customer!  I will definitely keep her in mind in the future, should I need to refinance my home. 



Mr. Welch,

My wife and I have been members of University Credit Union for 23 years. We both teach at FIU - main campus. Your staff at the FIU branch has always been competent, professional, and courteous. But I am emailing to let you know what a great job Ms. Judy Kilburn did in procuring for us a new car.

We are now the proud owners of a brand-new Toyota Prius C.

Our old car broke down suddenly, and we needed a new car fast. Ms. Kilburn got us exactly what we wanted, with no hassles -- over price, extras, etc. She was on top of everything and very responsive to my phone calls, emails, texts, etc. Our other car is 8 years old with 110,000 miles on it. So it is likely that we will need another new car relatively soon. When we do, we will contact Ms. Kilburn again.

So, I recommend that you continue to maintain your relationship with American Chariots.

I have been with the UCU for 13+ years now and have to say your people are fantastic. I just completed a somewhat complicated auto sale transaction with the help of Aura at the Red Road branch, Nellie in Title, and Debrah in the Wire Department deserves a compliment as well. They were very helpful in assisting with the sale of my financed vehicle to the buyer from Oklahoma who used a wire payment, knowing that time issues were a problem.

Aura put me in touch with Nellie who was very patient in explaining the frustrating electronic lien release process. When the wire came in and the loan was paid off, Nellie sent the email to the state right at closing to help with the time delay issue. All this done in a very courteous manner. Refreshing.

Again, just want to thank you and your staff for the great personal service. No, I am not going anywhere and will continue to use UCU for more of my banking needs. My best.

Thank you so much for all the hard work you did for my husband and me. I can't say enough about your incredible dedication and professionalism to get our closing done. I always felt in good hands and actually cared about!!

Our experience with Bank of America was so horrific that I had lost faith in any financial institution. The three of you changed my opinion. UCU is an extraordinary company because it employs genuinely competent and caring people like you.

Even though I no longer work on the medical campus and even though BoA is more conveniently located, I will be moving all my accounts to UCU. It has been a delight working with you all and that is where I want my money to be!

It is with joy that I write this note to you about Doris. I did not want her good deed to go unnoticed.

Earlier today I was having a short fund issue that unfortunately caused me an overdraft fee. Doris went out of her way to ensure that I would have the right amount of funds transferred to my checking account to avoid extra overdraft fees and I was frustrated. All while she was handling other callers and clients, and the regular stress of her job. Her customer service practice is impeccable as well as she is pleasant and efficient. She is a resourceful problem solver.

I want to thank you and the Credit Union for having her as an employee. The ambiance is better when I walk in and she is sitting at her desk. I remain always

I wanted to write you to tell you about Elayne, your employee at the Call Center. Elayne is a true asset to the UCU. She tracked down an AFLAC Cancer Care claim direct deposit that no one else at the UCU - including the Accounting Department, was able to find. She is a professional, caring and compassionate employee and deserves recognition by the UCU Administration. She took the time to listen to my story and acted immediately to resolve the mystery of the lost money.

Please let your administrative group and Elayne's direct supervisor know how fortunate you are to have her working at the UCU. I will be forever grateful to her.
